???? St. Nicholas Hot Lunch is Back!

Welcome back, St. Nicholas families! We are excited to officially launch our 2026–2027 Hot Lunch Program!

Our Hot Lunch program is coordinated by St. Nicholas Parent Council and made possible through the support of our school families, vendors, and wonderful parent volunteers. We’re looking forward to another great year of offering a variety of Hot Lunches and special Treat Days for our students!

???? Cycle One – October Ordering

Our first ordering cycle will include our October Hot Lunch and Treat Days.

Ordering Opens: September 11
Ordering Closes: September 22

⚠️ Once the ordering window closes on September 22, we will not be able to accept late orders, additions, or changes.

Most of our vendors require advance notice to order ingredients, prepare orders, and schedule appropriate staffing. To maintain a positive working relationship with our vendors and keep the program manageable for our volunteers, we submit our finalized master order to each vendor once.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and ask that you carefully review your order before the September 22 deadline.

????️ October Hot Lunch & Treat Day Schedule

Hot Lunch and Treat Days alternate between Thursdays and Fridays based on vendor and volunteer availability and to allow both our English and Ukrainian Pre-K and Kindergarten classes opportunities to participate.

DateDayPre-K/KinderVendor
Oct. 1ThursdayEnglishA Cappella
Oct. 8ThursdayEnglishPopeyes
Oct. 16FridayUkrainianCanadian Brew House
Oct. 22ThursdayEnglishItalian Centre
Oct. 30FridayUkrainianRed Swan Pizza

The English/Ukrainian designation refers specifically to which Pre-K and Kindergarten classes are attending school that day. Students in the other grades can participate in all Hot Lunch and Treat Days.

???? Everyone Must Register Again This Year!

Hot Lunch accounts are reset each school year, so all families must re-register their students for 2026–2027, even if you participated in Hot Lunch last year.

St. Nicholas Hot Lunch Website

To get started:

  1. Click "Click Here to Register."
  2. Enter the access code: stnicholas2026
  3. Complete the registration form, including your email address.
  4. Click "Register Now."
  5. Add each child in your family who attends St. Nicholas.
  6. Please make sure each child is assigned to their correct current class. We use this information to organize and distribute Hot Lunch orders.
  7. Once your children are registered, select "Orders" to view available dates and place your order.
  8. Review your selections and total before submitting your order.

Please double-check your children's names, classes, menu selections, and quantities before completing your order.

???? Important Payment Information

Payment for Hot Lunch orders is accepted by e-transfer to st.nicholaspac@gmail.com.

E-transfers must be submitted during the applicable ordering window. For Cycle One, payments should be sent between September 11 and September 22.

Please allow some time between sending your e-transfer and seeing the payment applied to your Hot Lunch account. Payments are received, matched, and credited to individual accounts manually by Parent Council volunteers, so your Hot Lunch account will not update immediately after sending your e-transfer.

???? What Happens After Your Payment Is Applied?

Once your e-transfer has been received and manually applied to your Hot Lunch account, the Hot Lunch system will automatically send you an email confirming that your account has been credited. This email will also show your current Hot Lunch account balance.

No action is required when you receive this automated email. It is simply confirmation that your payment has been received and applied to your account.

Please do not resend your e-transfer or send additional money in response to the automated email. If you have paid the full amount owing for your order, there is nothing further you need to do.

Because payments are processed manually, there may be a delay between when you send your e-transfer and when you receive the automated confirmation email. We appreciate your patience while our volunteers work through the payments!

If you believe there is an error with your payment or account balance after receiving the confirmation email, please contact us at st.nicholaspac@gmail.com and we will be happy to look into it.

???? Hot Lunch Donation Program

When placing your order, families also have the option to make a $2 Hot Lunch donation.

Funds collected through our Hot Lunch Donation Program are used to help purchase Hot Lunches for St. Nicholas students who may otherwise not be able to participate.

Participation is completely optional, but every $2 donation helps us make Hot Lunch a little more accessible to students in our school community. ????

???? Pre-K & Enrichment Students

Both English and Ukrainian Pre-K students are welcome to participate in Hot Lunch!

If your child attends the Enrichment Program and you would like to order Hot Lunch on a day they will be attending Enrichment rather than their regular classroom, please contact us at st.nicholaspac@gmail.com so we can help make arrangements.

⚠️ Food Allergies & Sensitivities

Our vendors may prepare or serve products containing common allergens, including peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs, and other ingredients that may cause allergies or sensitivities.

While we try to provide a variety of choices and accommodate dietary needs where possible, we cannot guarantee that menu items or vendor facilities are completely allergen-free or that dairy-free, gluten-free, or other specialty options will always be available.

Please review menu options carefully and use your discretion when ordering for a child with a food allergy or sensitivity.

???? We Need Hot Lunch Volunteers!

Our Hot Lunch program is completely dependent on the support of our parent volunteers.

We require a minimum of four volunteers for each Hot Lunch or Treat Day to receive deliveries, sort and organize individual orders, and distribute them to classrooms in time for lunch.

When placing your order, please consider selecting the Volunteer option if you're available to help on that date.

You don't need to volunteer every week or make a year-long commitment. Even volunteering for one or two Hot Lunch days during the school year makes a big difference!

Unfortunately, if we are unable to secure enough volunteers for a particular Hot Lunch or Treat Day, we may need to cancel that date. Having at least four volunteers allows us to run the program safely, efficiently, and without placing the entire workload on only one or two people.

Thank you to everyone who is able to give a little of their time to help keep Hot Lunch available to our students!

???? Questions? We're Happy to Help!

If you have questions, experience difficulty registering or ordering, or aren't sure how something works, please contact us at:

st.nicholaspac@gmail.com

We're excited to get our first Hot Lunch cycle underway! Thank you for respecting our ordering deadlines, supporting our volunteers and vendors, and helping us make the St. Nicholas Hot Lunch Program a success.

Happy ordering! ????????????

Parent Council & Fundraising Meeting of the Year — Annual General Meeting

Welcome back, St. Nicholas families! We are excited to kick off another great year with our first PAC & FUN Meeting of the 2026–2027 school year!

Because this is our first meeting of the school year, it will also serve as our Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Date: Monday, September 14, 2026

Time: 6:00 PM

Location: St. Nicholas School Library

What Will We Be Doing?

We have a full evening planned, with three important parts to our meeting:

Parent Coucil Meeting & AGM

We will hold our first Parent Council meeting of the school year and complete the business required for our AGM.

Special Meeting — Bylaw Updates
We will hold a special meeting to present and vote on proposed updates to the St. Nicholas Parent Council bylaws. These updates are intended to clarify our governance, roles and responsibilities, and ensure our bylaws continue to support the needs of our Parent Council.

Fundraising Society Meeting
We will also hold our Fundraising Society meeting to discuss fundraising plans and opportunities for the upcoming school year, including upcoming events and ways families can get involved.

Executive Elections

As part of our AGM, we will be holding elections for the Executive positions for both PAC and the Fundraising Society.

Parent Advisory Council (PAC):

  • Chair
  • Vice Chair
  • Secretary

The PAC Treasurer position is held separately and is not part of the PAC Executive election.

Fundraising Society (FUN):

  • Chair
  • Vice Chair
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer

Interested in learning more about what is involved in an Executive position? Come to the meeting and we would be happy to explain the responsibilities and time commitment involved. You are also welcome to contact us at st.nicholaspac@gmail.com at any time if you would like to learn more or have questions about any of the positions.

There Are Lots of Ways to Get Involved!

Being involved with PAC or our Fundraising Society doesn't have to mean taking on a big commitment!

We know that families are busy, and we want volunteering to feel manageable, flexible and enjoyable. There are many smaller opportunities throughout the year where even an hour or two of your time can make a big difference.

Some examples include:

  • Helping with a Hot Lunch day
  • Helping sell or organize raffle tickets
  • Helping set up or clean up at a school event
  • Helping with a BBQ or concession
  • Helping sort or distribute fundraising orders
  • Helping prepare decorations or materials for an event
  • Picking up or dropping off fundraising items
  • Volunteering for just one event or one specific task

You don't have to attend every meeting, join an Executive, or commit to volunteering all year to make a difference. Sometimes a small amount of your time is exactly what we need!

We will share volunteer opportunities throughout the school year and welcome anyone who would like to help—whether it's once a year, once a month, or whenever your schedule allows.

Every bit of help makes a difference, and together we can make our St. Nicholas community even stronger!

Questions?

If you would like to learn more about PAC, the Fundraising Society, Executive positions, volunteering, or anything else happening at St. Nicholas, please reach out to us at:

Everyone is welcome, and we hope to see you on September 14th at 6:00 PM!

Let's start the 2026–2027 school year off strong, together!

Here are 2 ways you can show your support for St. Nicholas!

Our school is fundraising with Mabel’s Labels!

If you’re not familiar with Mabel’s Labels, they are personalized, durable, waterproof labels. They are great for everything from shoes, clothing tags, water bottles and backpacks. You can customize them with your name and a design, and they are dishwasher, laundry and microwave safe.

Mabel’s Labels also offers clothing stamps, silicone bands for water bottles and medical alert labels.  This is a great way to ensure your items don’t end up in the lost & found or mixed up.

To support our fundraiser, visit campaigns.mabelslabels.com and select St. Nicholas Catholic School (PAC) - Sherwood Park.  You can pick out whatever labels or products you want, and it will ship for free directly to your house!  Thank you for supporting us!

Once again we are partnering with Save-On-Foods on Clover Bar road!  We are collecting any and all receipts from this location!  Simply bring your receipts to the office and give them to Simone!
